History

The corner stone of the yoga place was already laid in 2006. Joey just moved to Switzerland and started to teach a small group of students at his Place in the living room.

By the end of 2009 we found a suitable room on Mattengasse 27 in Zurich’s «Kreis 5» and the school was named the yoga place, the logo was created and the first drafts of the website came into being. In spring 2010 the school opened and Tanja started to teach at the yoga place along with Joey.

At the beginning of 2012 the idea of a new location for the yoga place in «Züri West» arose. An appropriate room was found in the «Pfingstweidpark» complex, which was at that time still in planning stage. Since October 2013, the yoga place resides on its new address at Turbinenstrasse 40. in Zurich.

What makes us happy, is that since the early days some students are still with the yoga place. New students have joined, a few moved on. We would like to thank all of those who are, were and will be with us.
