Yoga does not seperate between the mind, body, and spirit. The three exist as a union (one definition of the word Yoga); what happens to the mind also happens to the body and spirit, etc.

Meaning that if something is bothering you spiritually, emotionally, or mentally, it is likely to manifest itself in your body. And as you work intensely with your body in Yoga, emotional issues will likely come up.

The mind does not simply store facts as barren information. Experience is more complex than this. It is emotional. We attach emotions to experience, and then deposit the combination of fact and emotion in the mind where we recall on them as memories. But, these memories do not only reside in the mind alone the body remembers too.

Though the ancient yogis understood that emotional turmoil is carried in the mind, the body, and the spirit, Western medicine has been slow to accept this. But, new research has verified empirically that mental and emotional condition can affect the state of the physical body, and that the mind-body connection is real.

In this workshop, through specific Asanas, we will learn to experience the emotional body. All of us “feel” various emotions differently in the physical body. When we ignore or bypass the messages, the emotional body reveals to us in the physical body. Thus, our emotions hold the key for our overall health!

This workshop is suitable for all levels beginners are welcomed.
